Chessgrove Park hosts the annual Hanbury School Ball
The Friends of Hanbury School danced the night away on Saturday 26th March and dug deep in their pockets to raise over £6000 at the annual Charity Ball. Over 200 guests enjoyed a splendid meal followed by games of heads and tails, and the infamous auction of prizes which were kindly donated by local businesses and supporters. These included, to name but a few, signed Birmingham City and Aston Villa shirts, the use of a BMW Z4 for a weekend as well as a tour of the House of Commons.
In addition to the charity auction, a separate raffle raised over £700 with the top prize donated by local artist Kate Modern. Duncan Parkes, part of the organising team, described the event as a “huge success” and thanked Chessgrove Park and Fews Marquees for their continuous and generous support. Director and founder of the Hanbury based marquee firm, Ian Few, was delighted to once again provide the venue and marquee after being a pupil of the school many years ago!
Chessgrove Park is only four miles from Hanbury School, providing the perfect venue for parents and guests. The stunning Fews Marquee presented ample seating for the 200 guests with a fully illuminated round bar, a colour changing cascade chandelier and black and white chequer dance floor covered with a star light ceiling. In addition a separate relaxation area consisting sofas and poufs allowed guests to enjoy drinks and conversation away from the music. All of which created the perfect atmosphere for another fantastic charity ball.
Chessgrove Park is available all year round for marquee based weddings, private parties and corporate & charity events. Located in rural Worcestershire, the site is approximately 20 miles south of Birmingham with Redditch to the East and Worcester to the south-west.
