The university of Birmingham is located in Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2TT.
We have been working with the university of Birmingham since 2006 providing them with structures in order for them to hold a range of events.
Marquees are erected for events such as graduation days, ceremonies, academic awards, post conferences, exhibitions and open days.
The main marquee site is situated in front of the clock tower on the Edgbaston campus.
Different marquees are provided on this site at least three or four times a year staying up for periods up to four weeks.
The most recent being a 15m x 30m clearspan marquee, with two joining 3m x 3m Chinese hat marquees which are used as entrances. The marquee has a solid level floor made up of board floor which is cover in blue carpet to match the University of Birmingham's colours. It is fully lined with ivory pleated linings, ivory swags and ivory drapes around clear windows; creating a pratical yet luxurious interior. Lighting is supplied through chandeliers from a mains power supply. The marquee provides emergency exits through quick release PVC emergency panels or solid push bar wooden georgian doors, which are all lighted with emergency lights. Heating is provided through indirect oil fired heaters (EC40) which directs warm air into the marquee at an even flow. These are controlled by thermostats allowing clients to vary the temperature to a comfortable status. Alternately on warmer days cooling fans are available.
An additional 3m x 3m Chinese hat marquee is also erected as use as an information tent.
This is due to be extended further shortly by added a 9m x 45m clearspan marquee along the existing marquee which will be fitted with similar finishes and finished to a high specification. This will also have a partitioned area available for catering.

The Vale, Church Road, Edgbaston where a 6m x 6m weighted Chinese hat marquee was provide in September 2008, Chancellors Court, Edgbaston and Park House, Edgbaston Park Road, Edgbaston where annual events take place; the most recent being 15th July 2009. A 12m x 24m clearspan marquee was supplied, fully equipped with board floor, dark red carpet, ivory pleated linings, ivory swags, and ivory drapes around georgian windows, 5'6" round tables and gold banqueting chairs to seat 200 people and toilet facilities.
We continue to provide the University of Birmingham with loyal and high standard service. By ensuring any marquee standing for periods longer than a week are revisted weekly to have the exterior cleaned and linings tidied up.
