Back to school – more space required!

Under the current circumstances, schools in particular are looking around for solutions to their problems regarding student social distancing and the additional space required. All schools are engaged in extensive risk assessments to understand the necessary processes and procedures required for the safe return of students in order to meet Government and DfE requirements. One solution is to utilise existing school property by erecting temporary buildings to make extra classroom, social and administration space. In the past school marquees and school tents have been utilised for special events, but will probably now become a normal addition to the property.

Temporary buildings are an ideal, low cost solution to the problem, allowing flexibility in location and size, but not committing the school to a long-term expense.
A temporary building offers all the benefits of a regular building and can incorporate temperature control, lighting, water supply as well as providing full security for valuable equipment. With build times sometimes under a week, getting students back to their education may be less of a headache than imagined.

School marquee hire is in normal times a very rewarding sector to support, and Fews Marquees has long associations with many schools and universities around the area. Institutions all over the UK are often looking for additional space for open days, fresher weeks, celebrations, graduations and charity fund-raising events. In addition, there will be a need to find solutions for examinations where large numbers of students are required to be taking exams at the same time.
