Reporting to: Managing Director (as part of the Senior Management Team)
Location: Fews Marquees office

Purpose of the Role
Responsibility for the operational financial functions of the company, including financial systems, company financial procedures and daily transactional activity. Manager of monthly budgets and expenditure, (in line with the annual strategic budgets). Responsible to the company’s financial institutions and statutory bodies, ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Principal analyst of financial data, with the overall purpose of making and implementing recommendations which deliver profitable outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Management Accountancy
• Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts (for submission to the auditors)
• Managing the company statutory records and annual returns
• Preparation of monthly VAT returns and acting as lead on HMRC
• Budget preparation and ongoing forecasting
• Designated bank liaison
• Ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards and other specific internal and external guidelines

Book Keeping & Credit Control
• Receive and prepare purchase orders/invoices to be entered to the purchase ledger and keeping the invoice register accurate at all times
• Processing to Sage
• Making payments
• Answering all internal & external purchase ledger queries
• Management of debtor days and cash recovery
• Bank/cash flow control & cash flow forecasting

Payroll Management
• Monthly payroll including reconciliation against staff time-clock
• Processing of Contributory pension scheme
• Processing new starters & leavers
• Record keeper/processor of holiday and sick days

Other general work
• Attendance of Senior Management Team meetings
• Preparation of management information reports including individual post event margin analysis (as required)
• Analysis of CAPEX expenditure opportunities and ROI
• Grant applications and management of awarded funds
• Meter readings, fuel recording
• Management of petty cash, credit and fuel cards
• Associated admin including filing and printing
• Adherence to the financial authority matrix at all times, in addition to company and legislative policy and procedures
