Birmingham Pride has been an annual cultural event since 1997 and Fews Marquees have been a supplier and supporter for the last 10 years. The street festival brings together the LGBTQ community with the wider community, and has a strong resonance in the city, region and beyond. The organisers asked us to provide a number of structures including the main stage, main dance, and village cabaret plus assorted green rooms, bars and catering areas.
Our solution was to provide Premium Clearspan structures with curved PVC roofs for the large stages, with pagodas for each Green Room. The main stage required a real festival feel and we were able to provide that.
For the main dance tent we provided a black PVC throughout to achieve dark club effect.
Main Stage: 25m x 30m Premium Clearspan structure on a 3m leg – Green Room 6m x 60m Pagoda on 2.3m leg
Main Dance: 25m x 35m Premium Clearspan structure on a 3m leg – Green Room 6m x 6m Pagoda on a 2.3m leg
Village Cabaret: 25m x 25m Premium Clearspan structure on a 3m leg – Green Room 5m x 5m Pagoda on a 2.5m leg
We also provided clearspan marquees for the Loft Lounge, Village Inn and the Fox areas.
The whole event was a massive success and is an integral part of Birmingham’s cultural calendar.
