The Covid-19 pandemic has created many problems, not least of which has been the increased pressure on local medical centres in terms of space, hygiene processes and overall volume of patients.
To ensure the continuity of services through 2022, the Solihull Healthcare Partnership asked Fews to build an extension connected to one of their existing medical centres.
We installed four connected clear-span marquee structures to make a practical space for eight consulting rooms, an emergency room, a waiting area, and storage room.

The internal partitions were solid walling with wipeable surfaces, and the floor covering was commercial grade anti-slip vinyl.
To avoid damage on the car park we used 1000kg concrete weights to secure the marquee.
An electricity distribution board ensured the stable provision of power for heaters, lighting, and other equipment.
Finally, security was provided through the fitting of solid lockable doors.
