Training outside during winter months is not everyone’s idea of fun, but for sports like cricket it’s pretty much a non-starter. Unless of course you happen to know a friendly marquee company who can carefully erect a marquee on your square without permanently damaging the surface.
Cricket is really supposed to be played on a grass surface, and at the higher levels it is much better to train on similar surfaces.
A clear span marquee can cover several nets and run ups depending on what the club requires. Clear sides and roof will maximise natural light, and this can be augmented if required.
Guttering and drainage pipes can assist the even distribution of rainfall, and there are a variety of anchoring methods to minimise surface damage.
Making sure the team is ready for the new season is vital, and winter training overseas is difficult in the current climate.
